The Yulong copper mine in Xizang is located in Jiangda County, Changdu City, Xizang, and the mining area is located in the Qinghai Tibet Plateau. The altitude ranges from 4569-5118 meters, and the natural conditions are harsh. The air is thin and the oxygen content is less than 60% of that in the mainland; External transportation is inconvenient and material supply is not smooth, which is truly a 'forbidden zone of life'

During the mining process, we encountered problems such as the complexity and variability of the ore body, as well as difficulties in excavating frozen soil. Hongda people have demonstrated a spirit of hard work and perseverance by using a combination of on-site ore identification and rapid sampling and testing methods to obtain accurate geological data such as ore grade changes and ore rock boundaries. They have customized ore rock mining and blasting plans, achieving scientific ore matching and summarizing a set of mining processes including "geological sampling, testing, determination of ore rock boundaries, measurement and marking, blasting design, and professional mining", greatly improving resource recovery rates. In response to high-altitude frozen soil blasting, methods such as optimizing blasting parameters and explosive ratio were adopted to solve the construction difficulties of frozen soil blasting.
